Gator Road Work

The 2012 Gators took practice on the road last week as they traveled to Moultrie for a 7 on 7 Tournament.  The summertime 7 on 7 leagues are a great avenue for intense practice on the passing game. While only a part of the overall Gator offensive package, an effective passing game is a valuable weapon.

Thursday and Friday brought two full days of executing pass plays against teams from other parts of the state and the country.  The Gators posted a 1 – 3 record on Thursday and a 3 – 2 record on Friday. Great improvement was made over the course of the tournament which was the main goal of these sessions.

Standouts over the two days were: Jamar Johnson, Tremon Porter and Isa Lowe.  If their performances at this tournament are any indication, 2012 is going to be an exciting year to be watching Gator football.
